Car insurance sucks!

Last night, me and my parents were talking about getting my first car. My dad told me that if I save a thousand dollars in my bank that he would buy me a car if I could afford the insurance. Out of curiousity, I decided to get a quote on how much my insurance would be a month because I was worried because I was in an at fault accident in the summer (over 10,001 $ in damage).. the car was wrote off. When I finished all the steps to getting my quote, it told me that my insurance would be 400 dollars per month! I definitly was not expecting it to be so high and I'm extremely angry. If I end up getting a car it would be impossible for me to save for college because I would always have to pay my gas/insurance/tune ups etc. Maybe it's not such a good idea to get a car and I'm going to college at Durham so I can easily take the bus. Maybe when I graduate college and have a clean driving record I'll be able to afford one.

March Break came to an end.

Sadly, march break is already over. Quebec was the best trip ever. I definitly was not expecting it to be as fun as it was. The first night we arrived there at around 5:30, I decided to take a shower and get all ready for the night (that night was tight and bright). Me and my boyfriend decided to take the last bus to the club at 10:30 and it was one of the best nights of my trip. The second day we were supposed to go snowboarding but I decided not to go and instead I went to the mall. The mall was so much fun, they had tons of good stores and they had rides and even a skating rink inside the mall. The next day, I decided to sleep in and we didn't do much all day. The theme of the night was Hawaiin night and for me, it was the best night of the whole trip. The set up of the club was pretty sweet and it was a lot of fun. The following day we were supposed to go snow tubbing but it got canceld because there was no snow. Instead, we relaxed and went to the spaghetti house dinner at night. I got lasagna and it was delicious! The theme of the night was freak show. Not many people decided to dress up for this night, not even me. The club that we were supposed to go to had no power so we went to another one across from where we had dinner. It wasn't one of the best nights, so we took a cab back to the hotel early and just had fun there. The next day we went on a tour of the Old Quebec and did tons of shopping. It was a good day for the tour because it was warm outside. That night we had dinner at the hotel and went out to the lodge for St-Patricks day. I was expecting it to be a little more fun then it was. For me, the first two days of my trip were the best but the over all experience was amazing. I hope to go back some day soon!

Prom

I'm getting really excited because prom is right around the corner. This is my last three months at Garnier and I can't wait to move on and go to college. Prom is going to be one of the biggest memories of my senior year. I started "looking" at prom dresses, I haven't tried any on yet though. Last year I really wanted a pepsi blue colored dress but I've already changed my mind. I now have my heart set on a bright yellow prom dress now. I want to make sure my boyfriend matches with a yellow tie as well. I think the best part about prom is dressing up. Ever since I was a little girl I loved to just dress up or dress people up. I used to even dress up my little dog back in the day. I can't wait to get my hair and nails done for prom either. The hardest part is going to be finding the perfect pair of shoes. I'm a very picky person when it comes to shoes so that means I should start shopping for them early. I can't wait to see what everyone is going to look like on prom night. It's so exciting :)!

The last night of our trip will be St-Patricks day
You guys all know what that means, dress in the greenest outfits you own. Go crazy. St-Patricks night will be a night to remember. Don't be party poopers!

Doggie Paradise

Creating my own business gave me a lot of inspiration towards my future. This project was not just a random subject but I would actually pursue it and open a dog kennel one day. Finding the cost breakdown and writing the business proposal helped me realise how much work opening a business really is. Someday I would like to open a dog kennel in the North Oshawa region and be well known in durham. I love animals and it would be a great business because I could work from home. The hardest thing for me would be having to give any dog back to their owner after it's been with me for over week.

Always remember that dogs deserve a vacation too!

Marlie's game ... with uniforms?

Tomorrow I am going to the Toronto Marlie's game with the school for having an 80% or higher in 2008-2009. I don't even recall having an 80% average. But they are making us wear uniforms? Why must they torture us? They give us a privelage and they won't even let us go with out our uniforms and on top of that it's a HOCKEY game. We're not going there to learn anything, we're going there to have fun. To add to all this, we're going to be sitting in a freezing cold arena, do they really expect us to take off our jackets/boots and freeze to death to represent the school. If I had to choice to wear what ever I want I would put some comfy warm track pants, boots and a warm sweater or coat. But the school doesn't care because they are not the ones that have to wear the uniforms. Sometimes I swear they don't use their heads and like to make us mad. Sorry for all the complaining. I am happy I'm getting the chance to go to a hockey game rather then school.
